Former WBO super middleweight champion Robert Stieglitz and WBO #1 rated light heavyweight Robin Krasniqi just finished the first part of their training camp for their respective upcoming world title fights. On March 16th, Krasniqi will challenge Nathan Cleverly in London. Only one week, on March 23rd, later Stieglitz will try to regain his title in a rematch against Arthur Abraham.

Together Krasniqi and Stieglitz just spent two weeks in Neukirchen in the German national park Bayrischer Wald with strength and conditioning coach Alfred Segerer to get in shape for their championship bouts.

“It’s great to come out of the gym for a while and spend some time up in the mountains”, says Stieglitz. “The air is great up here and I could really enjoy the snow – if we didn’t train that hard. We do a lot of running in the snow. Alfred Segerer is making us work very hard. The high altitude training helps to get us ready for the fights.”

Adds Krasniqi, “I know that I have to be at one thousand percent to beat Cleverly and take the title from him. The preparation up here in the mountains is just perfect. Alfred and the whole team at ‘Vitalis’ hotel are doing an excellent job. We couldn’t ask for a better camp.”
