Kazuto Ioka retained his WBO title
Japan’s Kazuto Ioka retained his World Boxing Organization (WBO) Junior Bantamweight, after beating his compatriot Ryoji Fukunaga by unanimous decision in an evening held in Tokyo, Japan.
Kazuto Ioka did the right thing to win, he dedicated himself to scoring with more precise shots and did not risk at any time, he avoided exchanges before the great punch of Fukunga who had won of his 15 victories, 14 were by knockout.
The champion ended up winning a more complicated fight than expected by 118-110, 116-112 and 115-113.
Ryoji Fukunaga was Jerwin Ancajas’ replacement after the Filipino could not go to Japan due to the new COVID 19 restrictions adopted to stop the new wave of infections.
