
WBO #1 Boesel halts Liebau in eleventh

WBO #1 light heavyweight Dominic Boesel (22-0, 8 KOs) retained his WBO Intercontinental title and WBA Continental titles with an eleventh round TKO over previously unbeaten Denis Liebau (19-1, 18 KOs) on Saturday night at the Jahrhunderthalle in Spergau, Germany. Slick boxer Boesel schooled former kickboxer Liebau for ten rounds, then dropped him three times in round eleven to end it. Time was 2:37. After the fight, Boesel proclaimed himself ready to face world champion Sergey Kovalev.
