WBO GAVE BOXING EQUIPMENT TO THE PUERTO RICAN AMATEUR BOXING FEDERATION

GUAYNABO, PUERTO RICO- World Boxing Organization (WBO), along with former two time world champion Ivan “Iron Boy” Calderon and world contender Jonathan “Bomba” Gonzalez, gave boxing equipment for the Puerto Rican Amateur Boxing Federation.
WBO president Francisco “Paco” Valcarcel, Calderon and Gonzalez took boxing gloves, boxing pads, punching bags and other implements to the amateur boxers there. Female Panamerican 132 pounds champion Kiria Tapia, Jose Roman (141 pounds), Brian Chavalier (123 pounds), Hector Marrero (132 pounds) and Luis Melendez (15-16 years 110 pounds champion) got the equipment.
“We just want the Puerto Rican Federation knows that they can count with us always. All that they need, we found the way to help them”, Valcarcel said.
Also in the activity, held at the Felix Pagan Pintor Gym in Amelia, Guaynabo, were the Puerto Rican Amateur Boxing Federation President, Josel Luis Vellon, National Team trainers Jose “Chicky” Laureano and Victor “Cano” Ortiz, also trainers Felix Pagan Pintor and Jim Pagan, the Guaynabo Sports Sub-Director Carlos Rey Cotto, judges Cesar Ramos, Carlos Colon and Raul Nieves, referees Gino Rodriguez and Jose H. Rivera, and WBO Treasurer Adolfo Flores Monge.
