World Boxing Organization (WBO) Flyweight World Champion, Anthony “The Princess” Olascuaga, retained his crown for the second time by defeating former Japanese world champion Hiroto Kyoguchi by unanimous decision this Thursday in one of three world title bouts held at the Kokugikan Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

The fight was evenly matched. Both men gave their all in a highly strategic clash that, at times, was headed for a furious exchange of shots.

However, Olascuaga sent Kyoguchi to the canvas in the 11th round with a short left hook that did no damage but was effective enough to get the Japanese fighter knocked down.

In the end, two of the scorecards were 117-110 and 118-109 and 114-113 in favor of the Californian champion.
